By Public Transportation:
The Curley K-8 School is easily accessible by the "T." By train, take the Orange Line to the Stony Brook stop, and make a right out of the station. Walk 5 minutes up Boylston Street until you arrive at Centre Street. Make a left and walk 2 blocks. The Curley is on your left. By bus, the Curley is accessible by the #39 bus from either the Forest Hills "T" stop, or from various points along Centre Street and South Huntington Avenue in Jamaica Plain, and Huntington Avenue in Boston. You can also take either the #41 or #48 bus from the Jackson Square "T" stop, and other points along Centre Street in Hyde Square. Described below are directions to the Curley School from various points in and around Boston:
From Downtown
Follow Tremont Street through the South End and into Roxbury, going past Ruggles Station and the Boston Police Headquarters (both on your right). As you pass Roxbury Community College on your left, Tremont turns into Columbus Ave. Stay on Columbus. Take a right onto Centre Street (the next turn after Heath Street). The Jackson Square T-stop will be on your right. Follow Centre Street for about 1 1/2 miles, going left at a small rotary and passing through a light where South Huntington joins Centre Street. The school will be past the stop light on your right.
From 93 N or S
Take the Mass. Ave. exit, cross Mass. Ave. and go straight on Melnea Cass Blvd. Follow Melnea Cass through 6 sets of lights. At the 7th set of lights take a left onto Tremont St., going past Ruggles Station and the Boston Police Headquarters (both on your right). As you pass Roxbury Community College on your left, Tremont turns into Columbus Ave. Stay on Columbus. Take a right onto Centre Street (the next turn after Heath Street). From Rte. 9 East
Take a right onto South Huntington Ave. at the Citgo station. Follow South Huntington Ave. past the VA Hospital on the left. Cross Perkins Street, and merge onto Centre Street at the next light. The Curley is one block past the light on your right.
From Storrow Drive
Take the Fenway Rte. 1 exit. Bear right upon exiting onto Boylston St. After the 3rd set of lights, you should cross Brookline Ave. Bear left but stay in the middle lane going toward the Riverway. At the 4th set of lights (you will now be on the Jamaicaway) take a left onto Perkins St. Turn right at the light at South Huntington. South Huntington will merge with Centre Street at the next light. The Curley is one block past the light on your right.
